Acer Computer, will have its biggest ever display of commercial and consumer desktop and notebooks PCs at GITEX 2007, with the IT vendor looking to strengthen its commercial and consumer desktop market presence with high-end products.
According to independent analysis group Gartner, Acer in Q2 of 2007 recorded a year-on-year growth rate of 35.2% in the total PC market, almost three times the market growth. Acer is the Middle East's leading supplier of notebooks, and with tech-savvy end-users demanding more, the new biometric security enabled machines add more credibility to Acer's mix of products.

'At Acer, we are constantly striving to empower our end-users, and GITEX helps us educate the region on our products and technology,' said Krishna Murthy, General Manager, Acer Computer, Middle East. 'Our products reflect Acer's philosophy that innovative design, advanced technology, and affordability can go hand-in-hand,' added Murthy.

The company's success in the notebook and desktop market, especially in the commercial arena, can be attributed to the popularity of its TravelMate notebooks and Veriton desktops, and the success of its Altos servers.
